Hi all,

This week we will be meeting at the Lime Kiln Trail (directions below) where we will do a hike and do our investiture of the new Beavers. Parents are invited to watch and stand with your child during the investiture and take pictures of your youth being invested.

The parking lot for the Lime Kiln Trail is a lot smaller than the Jack Pine parking lot. So parents may need to drop off the children at the Lime Kiln Trail and then park on the road ( a little dangerous) or park at the Jack Pine Trail and walk to the Lime Kiln trail (either on the road or via the Jack Pine Trail). If you can, it is best to do some carpooling and reduce the number of vehicles.

Some things to be aware of:

- We're later in the year and it gets dark earlier - please bring flashlights
- Weather looks to be rainy and cool on Monday and the trail gets a little muddy in parts. Please dress appropriately: Rain jacket and likely boots. Gloves+sweater to keep warm.
- There is no outhouse at Lime Kiln Trail - the nearest one is at the Jack Pine Trail. Please make sure Beavers (and parents) use the bathroom before the meeting :)

Scout Popcorn orders are also due on Monday, Oct 21. Please bring the forms and money to our meeting. Amr will be collecting them for "A" Colony.

Directions to Lime Kiln Trail.

The same as to Jack Pine Trail, except that you travel a few hundred meters further south on Moodie Drive and the Lime Kiln Trail parking is on the opposite side of the road of the Jack Pine Trail.

Best set of directions with the current construction is:

1. Take 417 East to the 416
2. Take 416 South to West Hunt Club
3. Turn right (west) on to West Hunt Club.
4. Travel on West Hunt Club until the first lights (Moodie Drive) and turn left (south) onto Moodie Drive.
5. Drive past the  big sign saying "Jack Pine Trail" on your left.
6. Look for Lime Kiln Trail on your right (Parking lot P10)

If you're having any trouble trying to find the trail, please give me a call on my cell phone: 613-795-3396.
